Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. They was moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five and enrolled in at the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma knew she would like to be an actor and for a number of years she trained at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school in which she was taught performing and singing. At the age of ten, she took part as the lead in several Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been chosen for these roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The film was also one of the top-rated films in 2001. Its opening weekend and day the sales were record breaking. The critics were impressed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for an Feature Film. The actress was awarded five times for her role in the movie.
